Was a toss up between roam 1 and roam 0. Roam 0 rides a little smoother.

Its nice and lightweight. With 27 speed options you can adjust according to your ride style from hard to easy ride. Great for commuting, being hybrid I use it on Road as well as on trails and this goes smooth on any track.

    Comments:

I have owned mostly MTBs in the past. I bought a Roam 0 to replace my high end Trek after ten years. While this bike is not an MTB, the frame specs and ride are very similar with the added advantage of 700c tire quickness. The fork with lock-out is a great feature, when selected the fork is not made completely rigid, it will give if a sharp bump is hit, but I am 200+ lbs. and it won't give when I stand and hammer it during sprints. I mostly plan to ride on pavement but the bike is certainly capable of negotiating light trail work, just don't ride like its an MTB! Like any bike, this one is a compromise between comfort, durability, and speed. There is not one thing on paper that would make this bike exceptional, but rather the sum of its parts, really have to hand it to Giant for the smart engineering and ergonomics that strike a near perfect balance. The bike is also much more handsome than the photos depict. The only small criticism I would submit are the Avid Elixir 1 hydraulic brakes, while they offer good stopping power they are a bit rough and are not adjustable to the degree I would like, I plan to upgrade to the Elixir 3 or like brakes soon. But that is a small fault a more casual rider may ignore. Great ride, nonconformist chic, a Swiss Army knife on wheels! Worth a close look to be sure!
